Each competitor is required to submit below a programme of three arias (opera and/or oratorio).
The first item will be the competitor's choice then the panel will select one of the other arias.
In addition singers may include a song or Lieder making a total of four items.
A programme of between 16 and 18 minutes music duration will be required in performance order.
We will require the name of the item, composer and key and if from opera or oratorio, the title of the work. It is advisable not to include items that exceed the instrumentation of the standard symphony orchestra.
Finalists will be asked to provide a vocal score of each item listed in the correct key.
Each final programme will be required by 1 April 2008 after which date no changes will be accepted.
We will require black and white photographs from finalists for press and programme purposes.
